You may have heard or read recently that Bishop Edward is allowing many of the COVID-19 health protocols to be relaxed. This is great news, as we appear to be finally beginning to come out of these dark days!
Then they cried to the Lord in their need and he rescued them from their distress. He sent forth his word to heal them and saved their life from the grave.
Let them thank the Lord for his love, for the wonders he does for men. Let them offer a sacrifice of thanks and tell of his deeds with rejoicing (PS 107:19-22).
Beginning this weekend with the Feast of Pentecost, we at St. Christopher Parish will only keep all COVID protocols in place at the Sunday 7:00 a.m. Mass. Some in our parish family still have health concerns to deal with, so this Mass will be provided for your safety. For the 5:00 p.m. Vigil Mass on Saturday and the 9:00 a.m. Sunday Mass, we will no longer observe social distancing protocols, and wearing a mask is recommended, but optional. Because our 11:00 a.m. Sunday Mass is our only Spanish language Mass, though we will no longer observe social distancing, we will still require that you wear a mask. This is so that those who still have health concerns may come celebrate Mass in Spanish with the same level of risk that you will find in going to other public places, such as grocery shopping.
I very much look forward to seeing all of you return to Mass. It is our duty to give to God what is
right and just, in response to his gift to us: himself. See you Sunday!
