Ventura C. Pargas Jr. September 23, 1949 - †November 28, 2021
Ventura, 72, passed away in his home on November 28, 2021. He was born on September 23,1949 in Uvalde, TX to Bentura and Marina Pargas and moved to Marana, AZ at the age of 6. After graduating from Marana High School in 1969, he was drafted into the Army and served in the Vietnam War with the Armored Cavalry Division. He earned a purple heart after his tank exploded upon hitting a land mine. Ventura was proud to serve his country and very proud to be a veteran. On February 15th, 1973 he married the love of his life Sylvia Sanchez. Ventura and Sylvia were blessed with 48 years of marriage, 2 children and 4 grandchildren. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, had a strong passion for sports, the outdoors, and loved camping and fishing. Ventura had many hobbies including hunting, archery, shooting his rifle and reloading. He was incredibly outgoing, could strike up a conversation with anyone and cherished his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Bentura and Marina Pargas and brother Ricardo Pargas. He is survived by his wife Sylvia, siblings Carlos (Sally) Pargas, Nelia (Gustavo) Castillo, Carmen (Carlos) Sanchez, Armando (Denise) Pargas, children Michael Pargas (Tina Turpin), Mark (Nicole) Pargas, and 4 Grandchildren Isabel, Diego, Adam and Athena. Additionally, he leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
