I wish to take a moment to extend to you, my parish family, my deepest and most heartfelt gratitude on this day of thanksgiving. We all know what an incredibly challenging year this has been for all of us.
“In the shadow of your wings, O Lord, I take refuge 'til the storms of destruction pass by. “
We pause this day to give thanks for the blessings that God has bestowed upon us, and I give thanks and praise for you, the incredible members of this parish community.
Through every challenge, so many of you in our small community of faithful Catholic Christians have shown incredible support and love for your parish family and for me, your pastor. In many different ways, devoted and unyielding prayer, hours of volunteer work, financial assistance, and in every other way, you have stepped up and shown your support! I could not be more humbled and grateful to God our Father. Cast all your worries on Him because He cares for you.
I pray you all will have comfort and consolation from the King of Peace and enjoy this holiday, then enter into an even greater thirst for Jesus as we begin a new season of Advent, a time of great anticipation. God bless † you and keep you and your families.
In Christ,
Fr. Edson Elizarrarás
