First Communion

Jesus said, let the little children come to me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Requirements for First Holy Communion - The first time a Catholic receives the Holy Eucharist and Holy Blood of Christ

The child must be in second grade or higher.

A copy of the child’s baptismal certificate must be submitted to St. Christopher Parish Office

The child must attend catechism classes for two consecutive years—the year before making First Communion and the year he/she will receive First Communion.

The child must attend Mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation.

The child must be ready for the First Holy Communion Interview conducted by the Pastor.

The child must make his/her first Reconciliation before receiving First Communion.
